Decade: The 90's
Built: 1996
Name: Moiety
"Moiety" was built by Nick Smith in 1996, but despite her relatively recent build, she was created in the "traditional", old school design - seaworthy and stable!
Based on a typical Salcombe harbour day boat built by Edgar Cove Boat Yard, she has a 16' hull by 6' 6" beam, her timbers are Brazilian mahogany clinker, the engine is a 10hp Volvo MD2010 diesel and she has been on the Thames since 2000.
Nick, who will be exhibiting at the Show, was an apprentice at Edgar Cove Boat Yard and learnt the traditional artisan woodworking skills.
